So I think it's time to take a break from my paper that I started today and that's due tomorrow. At least the topic is interesting - how evil will destroys evil in The Lord of the Rings. So today we didn't have class, and instead we ventured out to the Waddeson Manor, one of the many houses owned by this rediculously wealthy European family called the Rothschilds. We had a lecture about the manor and its owners yesterday, but it didn't prepare me for what I saw. The manor is huge, and it took us almost an hour to walk through. ( Read more... )

So I went to the midnight showing of Star Wars Episode III last night. I thought it was better than the first two new ones, but still not as good as the originals. Everything in it was CG, including some of the "actors." I really enjoyed all of the Yoda scenes though, and some references to characters from the original. It did have a couple of ( Read more... )
